Bleed Kits - Brewood and Coven Villages |
For some time now, your local Officers have been working in partnership with South Staffordshire District Council to secure funding for the purchase and ongoing maintenance of bleed control kits across South Staffordshire. These kits are intended for installation within the existing community defibrillator cabinets located throughout the villages and can be accessed using the same process as retrieving a defibrillator. Each kit contains essential emergency items—such as tourniquets, haemostatic dressings, pressure bandages, trauma shears, and gloves—designed to help control severe bleeding. Early use of these kits can play a vital role in saving lives prior to the arrival of Ambulance or Police resources. We are now seeking to gauge public interest in receiving training on how to safely and effectively use these bleed control kits in an emergency. This training is particularly suited to individuals who are frequently active within the community, including local councillors, community group leaders, club organisers, and other community representatives. If you are interested in undertaking this training, please contact your respective Parish Council Clerk and provide your details. This will help us determine the number of training sessions required. Training for Brewood and Coven residents will most likely be held at Codsall Community Hub.
Dates and times for the training courses will follow once we have them organised.
Residents across South Staffordshire will receive a similar alert as part of the wider rollout. | ||
